The General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, Sheikh AbdulRahman bin Abdulaziz al-Sadis, announces that the languages used in the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to translate the sermon Arafa for this year's hajj season (1443 Ah), have increased from 10 to 14 languages.
The following languages include: English, French, Malay, Urdu, Farsi, Russian, Chinese, Bengali, Turkish, Hausa, the languages added this year are: Spanish, Hindi, Swahili, Tamil)
- His Excellency the General President said in his opening speech today on the occasion of the launch of the project of translating the Khotba (sermon) on the Day of Arafa for the year 1443 AH that the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to translate the Khotba sermon of Arafa has succeeded in delivering the message of the true religion to Muslims around the world in general, and to the visitors of Allaah in the holy sites in particular.
The aim is to enable non-Arabic speaking Hujjaj (pilgrims) to listen to the sermon on the Day of Arafa in their own language , so that they achieve the benefit this Khotba (sermon)
His Excellency the General President said that this project, which emerged from the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for the live translation of the speeches and lessons of the Two Holy Mosques, is entering its fifth year, thanks to Allaah.
He continued saying that "The project has received great care from our wise leadership, may Allaah preserve them, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, may Allaah protect him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, may Allaah protect him, who always ensures the importance of providing the best services to the pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques." The Two Holy Mosques, delivering the message of the true religion to Muslims around the world and making use of modern technology in the service of Hajj pilgrims, Hujjaj, Umra pilgrims and visitors.
His Excellency added that, by the grace of Allaah, the number of beneficiaries of translating the Khotba (sermon) of Arafa last year reached more than (100) million. Through the Manarat of the Two Holy Mosques platform, we aim this year, by the willing of Allaah, to benefit more than (150) million from the project this year. Also ensuring that the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque is preparing to broadcast the translation of this year’s Khotba (sermon) of Arafa to all Muslims.

His Excellency affirmed that these translations are delivered by specialized translators with competence and ability, he thanked our partners for the success of this project: the General Authority of Endowments, the Program for Serving the Guests of Allaah, Umm Al-Qura University, as well as the Ministry of Media and The Authority of Radio and Television for expanding the broadcasting scope of these translations in order to maximize their impact and reach to the largest possible number of the beneficiaries.
His Excellency addressed the media teem, saying that you are one of the main pillars of success, and we are with no doubt counting on you to expand the media scope of the project of translating the Khotba (sermon) of Arafa.
He instructed them to promote the project and to introduce it to non-Arabic speakers as a religious and patriotic duty.
we must cooperate , unite and do what we can to deliver this project to Muslims around the world.
In conclusion, His Excellency expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, may Allaah preserve them, for their generous supportand care for everything that would facilitate the pilgrims of the Two Holy Mosques. .
He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef, and to His Highness the Governor of Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee, His Royal Highness Prince Khaled Al-Faisal and His Highness Prince Badr bin Sultan, may Allaah preserve them, for the continuous care and follow-up.
